Email upgrade and storage migration
SEAS IT will be completing an upgrade to our email environment. Email will be unavailable from 8pm on Friday, 6/13, through 10am on Saturday, 6/14.
SEAS IT will be completing an upgrade to our email environment. We are relocating email onto a new fileserver and upgrading the backend software that manages the mail storage.
During this maintenance event, you will be unable to receive email to your SEAS address(es), and you will be unable to access mail stored on the SEAS mailserver. Email sent to you during this event will be queued up and delivered when the maintenance is complete.
To minimize the impact of this maintenance event, we ask that you exit your Email application before leaving the office on Friday.
If you will be reading your SEAS email over the weekend, you may experience a delay in logging in when your first connect to the mail server after the maintenance event is complete. This is due to a one-time automatic mailbox conversion procedure triggered by your connection. You will have normal access to your email after this process is complete. We will be running a batch conversion operation over the weekend that will prevent these delays for users connecting after the operating completes. Normal behavior will be restored by Monday morning.
